Our vet just switched Fred and Alice to this all in one. It is the flea and heartworm in one topical that you apply between shoulder blades. They get their treatment this weekend as it's the first of the month. Anyone using this? Is this a good switch?

Sorry, I've never used that, Val. I'm real curious about it. Keep us posted on how they do on it.

This is what my vet recommended for Lola, and she's had one application so far. It worked on the fleas, anyway -- when I got her, we got some extra little "pets" who have now vacated my dog, thanks to the Advantage. Hopefully that's a good sign! I'm picking up her second application tomorrow when she gets microchipped and gets her boosters.

So I gave them their treatment yesterday in the morning before I left for work. Alice didn't walk me ot the door but went back up to bed which meant she wasn't feeling well. Other than that they were fine. I don't see any fleas (which hopefully they never get!) and if they dont' get heartworm this month it's working
