With Lucy's sensitive skin, I can't use anything like this, so I don't know the answer. Sorry. |

I don't really know what a vet would say? Does she have dry skin and that is why you want to put lotion on her? I know that with the hairless breeds they have to use sunscreen to protect their skin so they don't burn. I don't think it will hurt her to put it on though. |

| I don't know...why do you want to put it on her? there are several great doggie "conditioners" for dry skin out there. |

| I had a chihuahua that had dry skin and I was told to use aloe vera on him and it worked. I used it only after his bath. I would check with your vet first. You can call and ask them. |

| I'd be concerned about causing an allergic reaction. Somtimes lotions, even baby lotions have fragrance and what not, so you might ask your vet first. |

Hmmm, I'd be curious to know what the answer is b/c I love the smell of Johnson & Johnson baby lotion....that's probably one of my most favorite scents.....but in my opinion, I'd probably look into something made for a dog. |

| Susy - I bought "Puppy freshening Spray" at Petco that smells just like baby powder. I spray Taz with it a few times a week between baths , the smell really lasts. Everone makes fun of my fur baby smelling like a real baby all the time |

I use baby lotion on Prince after he has a bath and is dried off. and it hasn't hurt him. But the best thing to do before using anything on your fur baby is to check with your vet first.

Yikes! I never even had the cahonas to put baby lotion on my skin kid. Apricot oil is great for the skin kids, though. Can't see that it would hurt a dog, either, but I'd definitely go for something made just for dogs. If Tauney licks it, it might make her sick; that, with the chance of an allergic reaction would both be enough to stop me (though I do think the stuff smells fantabulous). |
