Charlie got neutered on Friday and it seems like he is having a hard time holding his pee. Is this normal? He has been having accidents in the house and he hasent done this in a long time!

It might just be that he is in pain, or maybe a possible infection of some sort irritating him. Or maybe he is just mad at you for taking parts of his manhood, just kidding of course. Not real sure if any one of those is the answer. Hopefully someone else with a boy will have some personal experience with this type of thing and will be able to offer help.

Hmmmmm. Apollo didn't have this problem. What size rattie is Charlie? I don't know if that would have anything to do with it. Does he seem like he's in pain?

Never had a dog neutered (skipper was already done when we got him) but when Loco was spayed she peed a LOT for a couple of days. In fact I was on the verge of calling the vet because I thought she had a UTI but Bill told me to wait...he said everything up in there gets jostled around and was probably just irritated. Turns out she was fine.

If anything, I would guess Charlie has a UTI but he could just be irritated or in pain. When in doubt - call the vet....it can't hurt.

Bob didn't have a problem peeing or having accidents after he was neutered. It wouldn't hurt to call the vet and check on it.

Im planning on calling the vet today. He has only done it a cuple of times but the first time was about an hour after he came home and he was laying on the couch by me and he just started to pee! I dont know if he was numb still but of course it got on me! And then last night I was on here and I looked down and he was just standing there peeing. I dont really know if he knows or can feel what he is doing.

Jolene- He is a toy he weighs about 5-6 pounds.

I don't think that I knew Charlie was a toy!  I hope he's ok.
