Well, it looks like he is going to be okay. He is starting to be more like himself and have some more energy. He was so lethargic and all he wanted to do was sleep. Yesterday was a good day. He even went on one of his usual lizard hunts. But could only take the heat for about 10 minutes and had to go back inside. |

Nora, They said he had pancreatitis and gastroenteritis caused from eating something either very fatty or fried. He was also severly dehydrated from the vomiting. When I brought him back the second time, they did an xray to rule out a blockage. No blockage but his intestines were so inflamed that they were almost closed. The vet said this was probably caused by whatever he ate must to have had alot of spices. Needless to say, I will not let him going to anyone's house if I am not there to watch him. |

Poor Boozer... pancreatitis is so painful. It's a common occurrence with shelties ... have known several of them to have it that do agility. I saw one dog collapse on an obstacle course... was pancreatitis. My heart goes out to you.. and to Boozer.... and I'm so thrilled to learn he's feeling better. Am glad there was no blockage... *hugs* |

Glad he is feeling better, that is good news. You just never know what people food will do to these dogs. I try to discourage our company from feeding the dogs but they all do. |

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too

| No, I don't know what he ate. He was around a bunch of kids. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but, all of the kids came down with a stomach bug about the same time. |
