I got Fred his new dog food bowl to slow down his eating and it really works!! I cut back his food and use can carrots, green beans, pumpkin or some plain chicken breast. Guy noticed this morning that his energy level is going up. He was even jumping, which he hasn't done in a while!!

I walk them twice a day now, once in the morning and once at night. He really doesn't look slimmer to me but I can tell he does have more energy. He is going to grandma's for 4th of July and I hope she doesn't spoil him and overfeed him. I tell her the rules but she doesn't listen.

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too

Where did you get his bowl? And what is it called again? I saw it on another post, but forgot where now. I think I need one for Bonnie. She eats sooooooo dang fast she tries to steal food from Chloe! And she needs to get into shape before she can handle any extra food.

Way to go with Fred!! That's great that he is feeling better, and maybe losing some weights.

and not to sound like a commercial but it really does work. Fred eats much slower now because he has to work around those cones. He must feel fuller too because of it!!

Thanks! I'm going to get one for her. I'm sure Fred feels fuller now that he has slowed down. They tell people to do the same thing when they want to lose weight so the same has to be true for dogs- I would think. (oh- and I meant weight- not weights- lol)

That bowl looks like a good idea... my dogs eat competitively... they figure if they finish everything in their bowl, they can go to the other side of the room and go after the other dog's bowl.  Makes them absolutely scarf their kibble.  Maybe this thing can help.

that's what mine do too, but Chloe still takes her time and eats like a lady- thank goodness! Bonnie needs the bowl to teach her some proper manners. lol!!
