I think she may have gotten a hold of something...a frog or something....I don't know what else will make them drool and bubble at the mouth...its not rabies...she is not feeling good and acts like shes got dry mouth..I have no idea what to do!!!
I was at work and when I got home I took her outside to potty...my mom said she had just put her in her kennel. I didn't see her get anything while I was outside with her...but she could have gotten it when they took her outside...if thats what it is...and I do think it is...what can I do?? She's very upset and scared. She won't even let me hold her...which she usually wants me to when she is sick. She can't stop drooling...
like a doggy emergency room?? the closest vet is 30 mins...
not a 24 hour vet...you call the office and the answering machine will give you the emergency number though...
its almost midnight!! what did they do for lucy...can they even do anything for her if she got a hold of a toad??
okay...the doctor said give her some benedryll that it may help...but it doesnt sound serious...
he said the benedryll may or may not help...but it wouldnt hurt her, i felt terrible about calling this late!
i plan on it if she still is drooling and stuff...i have a meeting in the morning i have to attend i have to leave home at 7 am but i will take her after my meeting
I wish I had seen this last night. You need to rinse out their mouth with a shower sprayer or kitchen hand held. You want to get the poison out, but not let her drink it down which makes the poison go down the throat. I also rinsed Tinkerbelle's feet because she caught the toad before she bit it. Toad's can be very poisonous and you need to get the poison off of their mouthes and feet. I hope she is OK today!
