My Miss Taddi had a skin problem which has been resolved with antibotics, steriods and compete fasting from all of her treats. The vet has her on a diet of dried venison ($45.00, 20 lb bag, from the vet) Her treats are strickly homemade french tries cooked only in canola oil. The rash and outbread on the shin is almost completely cleared up. Now we are facing an outbreak of black markings on her skin in numberous places, she is white so they are quite obvious. Anyone else have this happening, I thought it was a rat terrier trait but now I am wondering. She has always had one or two of the markings but nothing like this...........HELP |

sounds like ticking (freckles)...completely normal rattie trait.  some ratties can have none or just a few, while other ratties have tons of ticking.

Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed.
I'd like to open my baggage

I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.

When we got Yaz I had no idea what ticking was. All of a sudden all these black dots were popping up all over her body. I thought something was horribly wrong with my baby. Then I joined this site and saw spots aplenty! |
