Finally, after 8 weeks, a lot of tears and worrying myself sick, Luby's poopsies are back to "normal." The doc could not figure out why she had diarrhea for 8 weeks straight until just very recently. We sent stool sample after sample to the lab and got no results, until a week ago, when they found hookworm, apparently one of the more elusive ones. The doc also thought she might have formed an intolerance for chicken. And to think that we gave her boiled chicken and rice sometimes...

So after three days of Panacur and a food change to NB Duck and Potato, Luby Doo's stuff is firm again!

Now I have to figure out why she's going so often! She drops a couple of two-inchers pottymouth near 5 times a day! The doc said 1-2 times is normal. Anybody else have super-poopers?

We laugh because Alice poops like 3 times a day but each time it's one little log and we think in her head she says "Whoops, I little friend came out" LOL

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too

So glad to hear the doc finally figured it out. Poor Luby. That is a long time to have runny poos. Yaz is a 2-3x a day pooper.

Glad all is well...........delicate little systems. I swear by Natural Balance Duck with Pot!!!!! Once Smokey was on this food all and I mean all the problems stopped.

Okay, I'm switching too! Seems like everyone on this site feed NB. If anyone didn't read my post in health/diet, Oreo had been having runny pudding poo for weeks too, finally found out it was Giarrdia, we are now on our second round of meds. But funny, when we were on them, her poop was firm, then one day off and wham back to pudding. The vet said there are still traces...but I wonder....could it be her food??? I've thought that for awhile now...California Naturals...good food, but maybe too much grain. Doc said to wait until the diarrhea clears before changing her food though.
