Aww, poor little Savvy. When Shane was little, we got him a Hymalayan-Persian kitten, and didnt know that it was a ringworm carrier till Shane started breaking out with it. Took him to 3 different doctors who guessed at what the rash was, and prescribed expensive antibiotics and other treatments that none of which helped at all, and it kept getting worse. The cat didnt show any signs of it, so we never expected that's what it was, or that's where it came from. We ended up taking him to a dermatologist who did skin scrapings and asked "do you have a CAT?"-- "well, yes, as a matter of fact, we just got one a couple of weeks ago"--"Oh? well, he has ringworm" and we actually treated it with the same kind of ointment that people use for athelete's foot because ringworm isnt a worm, it's a fungus. I hope that Savannah gets better really quickly, and watch for places on your own arms and legs, because it is very contageous. |
