I just got Abby spayed last week and now everytime she is outside she marks atleast every 2 mns.  There is no discoloration and she doesn't seem to have any pain.  Any ideas?  She goes potty and #2 normally when I bring her out but when we walk around all she wants to do is mark.  This has been going on for 3 days and in one hour today she marked over 35 times!  I'll be bringing her into the vet on Monday but I thought I'd check on here first if anyone has ever had this problem.  Thanks!

Never had this kind of problem, but I'm glad you're going to the vet on Monday to at least rule out a medical condition. Could possibly be a UTI even without discoloration. Let us know what the vet has to say.

UTI? Females don't usually mark...at least none of mine ever have. A vet checkup is a good idea. Keep us posted.

Thanks for the quick responses! : )  It might be a UTI, but it seems weird that she doesn't go all night while we are sleeping or while she is in the crate and I'm at work.  If she had a UTI wouldn't it be impossible to hold it for 8-9 hrs?  I'm really worried that this may be something more serious.   This is my first dog and I hope she isn't in any pain!  Btw, she is playing and acting normally except we haven't biked or ran since her spay last week.  I wish Monday was here so I could find out...

Well, I just got the results from Abby's urine analysis and everything was normal.   So now the vet is going to take another sample and culture it for a few days,  Abby is still squatting the entire time we are outside so hopefully the culture will find something!
