I just ran home for lunch and Alice's eye is green goop now too. . I have a call into the vet to see if I treat her the same way I am treating Fred. I didn't know this was contagious.

A few days before we were leaving for Jamboree, Winchester had an allergy thing going on in his eye. I put some homeopathic allergy drops for people in it, three times a day, and it was gone by the time we left Thursday. Still ok.

Pink eye or conjunctivitis is contagious.

Well of course she did. Whenever one of my sons got it as a kid, the other one (and probably me too) would get it within days. Wash your hands thoroughly whenever you treat their eyes or you will have it too.

UGH, I can't even imagine the wrestling match that is going to take place trying to treat Alice. My poor babies, I feel so bad for them. How do they catch it from each other? Sniffing?

it is extremely contagious. Licking the others eyes, rubbing where the other rubbed, etc. Very contagious. At least she caught it at the same time so you can treat them together not have to play leap frog with one getting better the other getting it over and over!

Be careful with pink eye. I had it as a teenager and lost most of my eyelashes. I still have nearly bald eyelids.

I posted a link in your "how does it happen?" post for prevention...it's extremely contagious. Make sure you don't get it yourself.

Oh no!!! I'm sorry Alice I must have missed you original posting about this! I know pink eye and conjuctivitious are contagious but never knew dogs could get it!
