First let me start by saying from the day I got Bella I could have thrown the vaccume cleaner away.  Not a speck of dust hits my floor that she is not on it in a second and has it down before I can say NO! It has been on more than one occassion I have run into the  kitchen for a yummy treat  so she would "Trade up" from a pencil or piece of plastic or whatever she has managed to smurf off a table or such.

So a few weeks ago, Bella throws up next to me at the sink. =(  I didn't notice it when she did it because it was quiet and fast. but just mucous and water. I looked at her and she was her running happy self so I cleaned it up and didn't think too much about it.

In the last few days, I have noticed that she has thrown up just water occasionally.  It seemed to happen after her "Turbo" run and I just thought she was working herself up too much.

Today, she throws up dog food  twice and this afternoon I noticed  the soft triangle area under her chin is swollen,  It almost looks like her tongue is swollen up near her neck under her jaw. She still seems her happy self. Her breathing is okay and is still running after balls, jumping 'Boing" and such.  My vet is closed on Thursdays.

Anyone have experience with swolen tongues and throwing up?  Should I take her to a different vet  tomorrow or wait till Friday?

I am working tomorrow and if possible will try to get a pic up.

Thanks in anticipation of your help/opinions.

She could have eaten something that made the tongue swell.  I know what you mean about them being little vacuum cleaners.  If you have any yogurt that may help with an upset tummy.  If she continues to throw up her food, I would go to the vet.  Tinkerbelle recently was very sick and I had to put her on several meds.  She eats all kinds of crap and was vomitting and having the runs.  It turned out she was poisoned from eating some fertilizer in my garden soil.  You just never know, so i would maybe take her to another vet tomorrow if she is still sick.  Good Luck.  She is so darn cute BTW!

maybe lyph nodes? that could be what you're feeling if they're swollen. it's hard to know what's really going on without seeing her. my dobie would eat rocks and got one stuck in her intestines. she threw up and refused to eat, but she was also whining and crying in pain.
maybe put her on a bland diet and see if she keeps that down until you can get her into the vet? my vet suggests cooked lean ground beef mixed with rice and cottage cheese.
I hope you can get this figured out soon. Keep us posted.

Thanks for the help. The swelling was gone this morning and she seems better. I am going to watch her a few days but I tihnk the crisis is over. My son got bit by a spider on the back patio yesterday and she may have gotten bit too.

poor baby! glad it seems to be better. BOTH mine eats anything and everything....whenever they throw up, theres some FOREIGN OBJECT that comes up! BLAH! what weirdos they are! sometimes its carpet, sometimes plants, cottonballs, hair ties, etc....disgusting, but it makes me feel better knowing the REASON they puked
