I found a lump on Millie on her shoulder, above the R arm area...  I was concerned, but then I started feeling Ellie and she has a lump in the same place!!!  I will of course call the vet, but wanted your opinions... the dogs are 4 months old, so I thought that it was weird they are getting lumps already.  They did have rabies and their last distemper shots last week, but I thought they did the shot more in the neck area...

Thanks in advance for all of your help everyone!!

it's probably the shots...since they both have lumps in the same place. it depends on the vet as to where the shots are given. the lumps should be going away soon...I think Lucy had a lump for about 2 weeks or so after her shots.

Yup, sounds like a rabies shot lump. Just keep an eye on them.

Sounds like a lump you get from a rabies shot. Is it in the same place were he had his shot recently? Just keep an eye on it, but you don't really need to worry if it doesn't go away for a few weeks. Sam still has his 'rabies lump' from his last vet visit.

Thanks for all of the reassurance!  I think it is where the shots were, but I cannot remember for sure, and I would think they do the shot up more on the neck and the lump is more down on the shoulder, behind the arm.   They didn't get lumps from the distemer or bortadella.  Either way, I won't start worrying for a couple of weeks if they don't go away!

Boozer got his annual shots today and the vet said not to get worried if I see a lump, that is common. Just watch it and make sure it doesn't seem to get any bigger or start to bother him
