So today we did a follow up with the vet about her hair loss. He examined the area again, and noticed that some of the hair follicles have completely died. The area hasn't grown, so the vet thinks that the hair loss could be due to trauma or her shots. He said that inflammation can cause this to happen, and that if this is the situation her hair could take up to a year to grow back. This makes a lot of sense to me. Just in case, the vet did another skin scraping and found a single demodex mite. That is common he said, so just in case he gave me some demodex cream. So as of now i'm just going to watch it. we took measurements of the area and I will measure it again in a few weeks. So we will see what happens.

thank you. i've been really worried about her. i tend to get carried away with worrying, but because she's acting so normal, and nothing else is wrong, the vet and I both think this diagnosis is right.
