Hey I have a question....I was holding Sydney a minute ago and I found a flea.  I looked all the other pups over including mom and I didnt find anymore.  I called my vet and they told me to get Advantage.  She told me that it wouldnt hurt the pups...b/c it doesnt get in the milk.  What should I do...I am kinda scared to do that just in case it would hurt the pups.  My vet assured me that it wouldnt.  Has anyone had this problem before??  Thanks

Hollie

That's a tough one. I'm sure there is some all natural flea repellant u can use.

If you're talking about putting Advantage on the mother the information I find on that says it's safe for nursing moms.  If you're talking about putting it on the pups, the information says it can be used on puppies as young as 7 weeks old.

Never used it on either myself, just repeating what I found when I Googled it.

yes I am planning on just putting it on the mother....I called my vet for the second time and they re-assured me that it would be fine.
