 Sorry for the bad pun.

Anyway, we took Sam to the vet yesterday for that rash on his shoulder. It turns out that it's bigger than we first thought...the skin all over his shoulder is red and iritated under his fur. It could be either a food allergy, an air-born allergy, or even a fungus. So we got some meds that we have to feed him orally twice a day (An anti-hystamine and an antibiotic)  and a medical shampoo that we have to use on him every 3 days (it has some kind oil in it that will keep his skin from drying out)

They took a skin/hair sample and are going to see if it groes anything to see if he has a fungus, so we have to wait 10 days for the results. But a fungus? I thought that normally happened to dogs that had 'wrinkly' skin. (Shar-peis, bulldogs, and such) Does anybody know what could cause a fungus?!

poor guy! I hope you figure out what it is, and that you can get it cleared up soon. I've been dealing with a fungus type infection on Molly's "girlie parts" for the last month or so. After a week on prednisone and 3 weeks of antibotics, it looks like it's gone. One thing I found out is Molly is great with taking pills...no fighting or anything.

I hope you get it figured out quickly.  Antibiotics will wipe out all bacteria, good and bad,  so you might want to replenish the good with some probiotics.

“My poor Shelby was only 6 months old when she got Mange. I started treating it right away, but it just kept getting worse. The vet said Shelby was reacting to the pesticides in the medications I was using. I couldn’t believe they would give me something with pesticides in it to put on open sores. I was POISONING her and didn’t even know it. I got online and ordered Pets'BestRx™ Mange products that same night. Thank God. Within a week my little angel was almost completely back to her old self. Gizmo's Vet Couldn't Heal His
Demodectic Mange with Ivomec

Learn How Pets'BestRx™ Did The Job!
Gizmo the Dog
"Gizmo's condition of generalized demodectic mange was severely worsening, even after almost 3 weeks of treatment with Ivomec. The vet was going to put him on an alternative, very costly medication that would require Gizmo to get shots regularly, since the Ivomec did not seem to be working. I didn't want to do that to him so I looked online for more information on alternative treatments and found Pets'BestRx™. Now he's all better. It's really a shame that more people don't know about Pets'BestRx™ because it could save a lot of suffering

Veterinarian Approved NEW Deep Penetrating Formula Gets Rid of Mange Mites ON CONTACTPets’BestRx™ provides quality, safe and non-toxic Veterinarian Strength health solutions to the world. Are you aware that most mange treatments are poisons or insecticides and those commonly used methods can actually lower your pet’s immune system? Your pet’s immune system is the key to controlling Demodectic Mange.

Antibiotics do NOT always work when treating for mange or various skin conditions in animals; this simply is not true. Antibiotics also prohibit your pet's immune system from doing its job which can dramatically weaken their immune system and make your pet susceptible to many life-threatening illnesses!

About Mange

Mange can be diagnosed, but most times the mites are burrowed too deep and do not show up on skin scrapings. Your Veterinarian can perform these skin scrapings but please be aware that to correctly diagnose Demodectic Mange, your Vet must scrap 3 to 5 dermal layers deep to get to the mange mite. This means that your pet will undoubtedly experience bleeding.

If your pet is experiencing any of the symptoms listed below, chances are your pet has Mange:

Symptom that could mean your pet has Mange:
Tired or lethargic
Symptom that could mean your pet has Mange:
Red, irritated or raw inflamed skin
Symptom that could mean your pet has Mange:
Losing hair in certain areas (hot spots)
Symptom that could mean your pet has Mange:
Scratching or biting a lot
Symptom that could mean your pet has Mange:
Eating Less
Symptom that could mean your pet has Mange:
Not sleeping and keeping you up at night
Symptom that could mean your pet has Mange:
Septic smell, caused by infection

There are 4 different main types of Mange:
  • Demodectic (Red Mange, Demo Mange, Demodex)
  • Sarcoptic
  • Notoedric (Cat Mange)
  • Cheyletiella (Walking Dandruff)

In order to properly treat your pet, it is very important that you understand the differences between these types of mange and their symptoms.

DEMODECTIC MANGE

Mighty Vites Immunity BoosterYour pet’s immune system is the key to controlling future demodectic outbreaks. Pets’BestRx™ has spent a lot of time and money researching an effective formula necessary to quickly boost a pet’s immune system when suffering from mange. Our Maximum Strength Mitey Vites™ are specially-formulated for pets suffering with mange. Your pet’s immune system has probably been compromised as a result of infection, strong medication (Antibiotics, Ivermectin, Mitaban Dips) that haven’t worked combined with a lack of good health to begin with.

First of all, it’s important to understand that your pet’s immune system is the key to the health of your pet. Therefore, good food, plenty of fresh water, immune boosters and the ability to exercise properly are crucial to helping your pet.

PetsBestRx™ believes in treating the problem AND the symptoms simultaneously. Itching, hair loss and damaged or inflamed skin are the "results" of your pet's reaction to the toxins that the mites expel and the feces from the mites.

SARCOPTIC MANGE

Sarcoptic Mange is the less serious, yet highly Contagious, type of mange. Sarcoptic mange, aka "Scabies," has zoonotic potential, which means it's the Mange you can get from your pet! Mange in humans is easier to get rid of. Also known as 'red fox mange' or 'wombat mange,' Sarcoptic Mange is much easier to cure than Demodectic mange because the Sarcoptic mite doesn't burrow as deep into the skin of your pet. However, the mites do cause extreme itching, followed by flaky or scabby dandruff and loss of hair. It doesn't occur often in cats and is generally short-lived if present. Steps to treat the itching and irritation due to red fox mange/Sarcoptic mange are however recommended.

WARNING
Your Pet May Be Contagious!

Sarcoptic and Notoedric Mange are highly contagious. If you don't take action fast it can easily spread to your family, children and other family pets. Without proper attention, the itching can become overwhelming.

NOTOEDRIC MANGE

Notoedric mange (Cat Mange) - Notoedric Mange is closely related to Sarcoptic mange in dogs. Both conditions typically begin with itchy crusts and scales on the ear margins. The mites may quickly move to the face and, if left untreated, can spread to your pet's entire body. Cat mange mites are external parasites that burrow into the skin of your cat and cause damage to their skin and hair follicles. Notoedric mange causes sores, lesions, and/or hair loss to your cat. Like Sarcoptic Mange, Notoedric Mange is also a highly Contagious mange disease.

CHEYLETIELLA MANGE

Cheyletiellosis is a mild skin condition caused by the Cheyletiella species of mites. It is also known as walking dandruff because it resembles a bad case of dandruff typically found on the neck and back. Cheyletiella are large mites that live on epidermal layers of dogs, cats, rabbits, humans, and other animals. They do not burrow into the skin but live in the keratin level. Their entire 21-day life cycle is on one host. They cannot survive off the host for more than 10 days. Cheyletiellosis is highly contagious mange disease and it is transferred by direct contact with an affected animal. The disease can be without symptoms or can include intense itching, scaly skin and hair loss. This type of animal mange can be easily treated with our Pets'BestRx™ Mitactin formula.

We urge you to learn more & inquire before you buy!

Pets'BestRx™ Uses ONLY White Sulfur

Mange Treatments containing both types of sulfur have been proven to be highly successful when treating ringworm, animal mange, hotspots, sores, ear mites and other common skin problems. However, the differences between the two types of products to treat mange disease are very important to know when choosing your treatment.

  1. The first type is made of White Sulfur (Methyl Sulfonyl Methane). It is safe, Nontoxic and easy to apply. This is not a mange dip. You can simply rub this mange medicine into your pet’s skin with your fingers without the fear of it staining your pet’s coat or your clothing and furniture. This product even works wonders for dry skin. Pets'BestRx™ Mange Products use only Highly Refined White Sulfur!
  2. The second type is made of yellow (Lime) sulfur. Unlike white sulfur, it requires the use of protective rubber gloves when applying the product and must be used in a well-ventilated area. Undiluted or large quantities of Lime sulfur are corrosive to the skin and may cause serious injury. These products are not suitable for use on cats or small animals under 12 weeks of age. It may also stain your pet’s coat, your clothing and furniture, and especially your jewelry. Its use is better suited for barnyard animals.

I have been fighting to keep my rescue dog alive for about a year now. She was heavily infested with Demo mange. I tried 3 vets -- each of them put her on different medication, which was very costly. There were also many health risks to Poppy and this left me feeling guilty when none of the drugs/injections/dips, etc., worked. I did some research on the net and discovered your product -- I had nothing to lose, so I ordered some. I have been keeping a video diary so I will be able to show the outstanding results your product gave!
