This will be the 3rd time Dora will be treated for giardia. We have not been able to rid her of this parasite. I went to a new vet which I really liked , and he has many cases of this non-clinical resistant strain of giardia. Dora is doing great as far as eating well, gaining weight and very playful. Vet has never seen so much non clinical cases of this before. They have no symptoms other than loose stool. I'm getting very frustraded with this. I have read every article on the web regarding giardia and have been treating her with appropriate meds but nothing seems to get rid of this. This new vet is going to use a new drug that he has had some success with and is safer than the others we have use. Anybody else experiencing this? I'm just so frustrated with this! I have kids and my concern for the family contracting this grows every day. We have bleached the yard and pick up the poop immediately and make sure she is clean but you always fear that she likes herself then comes and likes us. Help!!!! |
