I just switched my boys over to Canidae last week and oh what a difference! I was feeding them Natural Balance Ultra but I finally found a place here that only sells high quality food and treats! It is my new favorite store! Anyways, I noticed a big difference in Tuckers coat, its so much softer now! And surprizingly my extreemy picky eater Charlie actually liked it! Yay!!!! It cost about the same as the NB too I think it might have even been a few cents cheaper!!! |

| Please notice this and tell me if you find the same thing. We switched Amos over to Canidae about 1 month ago. He used to be able to clear a room with his "gas" two to three times per day. I have noticed a Definate decrease in malodorous eruptions since the switch. I don't know if that is what has helped or not, but was hoping someone could tell me if they noticed anything like that. I've not noticed any change in his coat. He sheds terribly and I was hoping that the food change would help with this. His coat was slick and shiney even when I had him on another less nutritious dog food. |

I had to switch Toby from Candie. He would not eat for 3 days. He gets treats so I was not worried about him. Put him on Natural Choice. He likes it for right now. The shedding is still very bad tho. Have to take him to the vet next week so will discuss with them about the problem of shedding. The puppy is precious. Is she a Type "B". She looks so little. I want Tobey a playmate but dont want to go back thru the puppy stage again. Also I want to be able to give another dog a chance. (if we ever find one). |

Tobey has been shedding for 6 months. I did put him on 3vcaps with the Candie food. There was about a month he didnt shed. I was so Happy. Then I ran out of the capsules and he got where he wouldnt eat the candie food. Still have some food left.. May change him back if I can get some more of the 3 v caps. Will talk to the vet about this. The thing is you have to get this special food at these special stores.most are not close to you. |

Anyone else feeding NB notice that too?? |

All three of mine used to be on Canidae and they didn't have any problems with it. I liked it because the price was good and I could use it with all three dogs. We actually used it until Schatzi was prescribed a hypoallergenic food. Then I kept Sam and Rowdy on the food for a while until we eased Rowdy on Orijen (I always wanted to try it, but it is awfully expensive for all three dogs) and Schatzi on Natural Balance Duck and Potato. I really liked the Canidae, but it gets to be a bit confusing when you get too many foods involved. I like the higher protein content of Orijen for Rowdy, but I'm kind of stuck with the NB for Schatzi and Sam's just on it for convenience. As far as the gas on NB... Schatzi had lots of gas the past couple days, but she hasn't been on it long enough for me to actually keep track of it. |

I feed the Natural Balance Duck/Potato and mine don't have gas....and I've got 4 dogs on it.
I've fed the Canidae in the past and it IS a high quality food but my dogs just weren't thrilled with it....plus with Mayfly's allergies I need a food with just carbohydrate source. The NB is working well so I'm not rocking the boat by switching....however we may be getting a foster dog at some point so things could change. |

My 4 seem to love the Canidea, I have been feeding it for quite awhile. No one leaves a drop. Ty still has some gas, but the others don't. He is still shedding and his coat is coarse. I give then fish oil, kelp, and bone meal. Also some yogurt. He did have worms and was wormed this morning. The vet said he coat, which seems very skimpy underneath was natural for his breed..not at all like Abby's?? I like that I can feed all of the dogs the same food. We have a couple of 100#'s dogs and then my little Ratties! |

bryson's gas has calmed greatly as well... but now the few times he rips them i have to admit they do smell worse!!!

I feed the Canidae All Life Stages and both Fred and Alice love it. I mix in a little of the Canidae can food with it for some flavor. Their coats are so shiny and what I noticed most was it helped them with dry skin. Before Canidae I was feeding Solid Gold and I could see dry skin flakes on them. When I swiched I don't see that anymore. I really like the Canidae.
Alice doesn't really have gas, she is a lady. Fred however (it must be a man thing ) |

I also feed the Canidae All Life Stages. My three LOVE it. I switched Apollo ( my only rattie at the time ) from Nutro last year when all of the pet food recalls were going on. I noticed an immediate change in Apollo's coat. It got shinier and thicker. All three of my pups actually have great coats and I've never had an issue with the Canidae. |

| I bought two flavors to see which Charlie would like more. I got the Lamb flavor and the origional, but Charlie liked the origional the best. Good thing Tucker will eat anything! That little brat is getting so big! |
