Mitzy's still a little stoned so she's laying on our bed.  Vet said she had a little tartar, which they removed, and some discoloration but that her teeth and gums were really in good shape overall.

While I was waiting I was observing all the other pets and people.  Two women brought their pugs in for the vet to breed (I guess some people do it that way?).  They wanted to do it naturally, not artificial insemination, but under vet supervision.

Anyway, the male was very overweight.  The techs took the dogs in back....brought them back a while later.  The male was gasping and snorting and making awful noises and had to sit down....turns out he "couldn't perform"!  He looked so totally embarrassed and exhausted!  It wasn't funny to the 2 women but really the way he looked was hysterical! Although I felt bad because it seems like those short snouts make it harder for them breathe.

Then we had the little man with his fashion accessory Boston Terriers....an intact male who was afraid of everything and a tiny 6 week old female.  Dude couldn't even get his adult male to walk on the leash....he was getting really flustered with him.  The bad thing was that apparently this fool planned on breeding the two dogs!

Have you ever heard comedian Ron White talk about studding his English bulldog? It's hysterical. I guess they have the same problem getting enough breath to do the deed too.

Glad Mitzy is home and in her own bed. (Oh, your bed, what was I thinking) What a day!

Tabitha, the only bad thing about a dental is that they have to be anesthezied. Other than that it's much like a human dental cleaning. Removing tartar, scraping the teeth, washing them, removing any infected teeth and putting a sealant over the teeth when finished....at least that is what my vet does.
