i was bringing joleigh to petsmart to get her nails trimmed, and after we were about a mile away, she threw up (in my purse eek.) and again on the seat... we sat in a parking lot and i gave her some water and we came back home and as soon as we got back into the house she threw up again... ive had her for about three weeks and she rides in the car probably every other day, sometimes for a hour at a time, and besides being scared the first time, she's never had ANY problems like throwing up, she usually just sleeps the whole time... my first thought was that it was car sickness but wouldn't it have happened before? it was clear like water and kind of foamy, any ideas? she hasnt done so since we got home, and she's not acting like anythings wrongs, she's still being her hyper little self..

any thoughts on what it could be?

Poor little Girl!!

Since she seems to be her normal self, it sounds like it was just a big day for her. Maybe she was a little nervous, plus the car ride?

Bob used to get carsick as a pup. Luckily he outgrew it.

Several people here have recommended a little plain yogurt to help settle the stomach.  And give her small amounts of food for now.

Of course, keep a close eye on her and if she gets worse talk to your vet.

I'm sure she'll be just fine.

if it was watery and foamy it might be because she was hungry. my guy has thrown up like that a couple of times in the morning--i.e., a long time after he's eaten anything--and he seems to feel better as soon as he has some food in his stomach.
