Lucy just pooped by the back door, something she never does. It was solid, but had a mucus like something covering it. I have no clue what is going on, or what to do. Or even if I should be overly concerned. |

| It could be something she ate??? Sometimes when mucous is present in poo it could be a gastrointestinal upset of some sort....not an expert but this is something very common in humans with Crohns disease, Colitis, or irratible bowel disorder.... |

I don't think she got into anything unusual. But we were just at my parents where so got treats and wetfood all last week. So maybe it is just the change back to her normal diet. I have no clue. It is just gross. PS it was an orange color, if that makes any difference. |

It could be the change in diet then, not sure about the orange color in her poo? More orange or red? BTW, I'm not trying to scare you, I sometimes jump to conclusions |

| has she eaten carrots recently? my guy eats wet food that contains carrots and some will come out the other end looking pretty intact--orange and a bit mucussy. i think they can't digest carrots all that well (as humans, or at least this one, can't!) because they are very high in fiber. that might be it?? |

| I'm not sure. I did have carrots in the dinner I made last night. Don't remember if I gave her a piece or not, or even if I dropped one. I don't think I did though. |

| Caesar used to have mucus over his poop too...the vet. said it was due to something he ate. It usually went away within a day or two. I wouldn't worry too much...maybe just watch what he eats. |

| UGGG. She did it again. I was making coffee for tomorrow morning and turned around and there was a pile of runny poo this time. It still had the mucusy mess over it. I honestly just don't know what to do. Talked to my mom earlier and she said Lucy had one of those at her house too. I put some yogurt in her bowl, but she wouldn't eat it. She was afraid to go in the kitchen, well and near me. She never poops in the house and knows that it is bad. This is not one of those cases, there is no telling her bad with this. She needs her booster shots next month, maybe I will try to take her with me to the vet tomorrow with Tiger and get that done and have her checked out. |

| She did eat some of the yogurt, not all. I tried to look at her poo, but didn't really even know what I was looking for. Plus it was really stinky. |
