I just ordered a couple of boxes of these.  These are the kind I give my dogs (Nature's Variety).  I usually pay a bit more for these 3-lb boxes when I purchase straight from my distributor... so this is a good buy if anyone is interested.

Oh boy I just bought a 3 pack of 8" sticks at PetCo because the one here is going out of business... and man-o-man no one was lying they DO stink. PeeYew! But all 3 dogs LOVE them so thats all that matters. :0) Oh and a quick question, is it okay to just give the dogs and let them go on their way or should they be taken away after so long?

LOL - the Nature's Variety bully sticks don't smell (unless you stick your nose right on them!). I bought those the first time and then for cheap bully sticks the second time....and whoa was there a difference!

As with anything chewy I don't leave mine alone with their bully sticks and I do take them when they get down to "choke" size. JMO

I usually throw Bailey's away when it gets small enough to get it all in her mouth. I get the Merrick brand for her and they don't smell at all. I've used the Natures Variety too and they didn't smell either.

I try to take Izzy's away when it gets down to the end.. but he's always a hand full and gets very aggressive. So I try real hard to distract him and get it away or he gulps the end down.

Thanks Nora!

I've been trying to find a source for the NV brand. I had heard that they don't stink. Like some other posters, I have given the Merrick brand and they don't seem to stink either. They are just a little bit pricey to give them to the dogs very frequently.
