Looks like that one's here to stay. Jacks looks the same except his front teeth are a little more crooked.

Do they make doggie braces? Does the underbite bother her at all?

That's not as bad as Button's bite. Button's lower teeth are nearly 1/4" farther out than her uppers.

Well, with Button it didn't start out as bad as it ended up. From age 6 mox. to 1.5 yrs. they protruded a little more each month.  It doesn't bother her, except she "licks" up her breakfast food in the bowl, rather then grabbing/gobbling it. And she couldn't "bite an itch" if her life depended on it! LOL She is having absolutely no problem with her Raw Meaty Bones diet that she & Zipper (who has no bite problem) have been on since the beginning of November. She often finishes her piece of chicken off BEFORE Zipper at dinner. Underbites bother the owners more than the dog, I think. No, they don't have braces for doggies. Sorry.

her underbite seems the same..not getting worse or better. I hope it stays the same...i would feel bad if she couldnt bite or itch or eat very well.

Boozer has an underbite as well. Sometimes his bottom canine teeth will get you when he is trying to lick. Sometimes his upper lip gets caught on his bottm teethnddn we call him Elvis.

Bailey has an underbite too... I think it's common with this breed, although conformalitionally (is that a word?) it's a fault. Bailey has several faults. He's post-legged (not enough rear angulation), and he has an underbite, and his ears don't conform to the breed standard. But ya know what? He's perfect to me! I'm sure Covelli is perfect to you too!

That's what Mitzy's underbite looks like and her lip gets stuck on it sometimes, too. I think it's cute and she doesn't have any trouble eating. I think the reason it's a fault is because if you were to continue to breed dogs with underbites you might end up, down the road, with dogs that had underbites so bad they couldn't eat.
