Miles acted like he was chocking this morning then threw up what looked like a hairball on me. I got cleaned up and the kids brought them down to go potty. When he pooped he kept rubbing his butt on the floor. So I picked him up and he had a hair sticking out of his butt. I pulled it out and threw it away. (could it have been our hair--they like to bite at it) He was just at the vet last friday and they said it he didnt have worms. Do I call the vet?? Any ideas??

Personally I would call the vet. Of course my fiance has accussed me of turning into a doggie hypocondriac as well. But it could just be something that he ate as well. Sometimes after Apollo has been outside and has chewed on something like grass, sticks, or whatever later on that evening or the next day he'll throw up. And That hair could be yours. I see my hair in Apollo's poo all the time when I go to pick it up.

Savanna has eaten/swallowed my hair too.  See what you vet says. So far I haven't had a problem, but you never know.

Jack ALWAYS has hair in his poop!!  I lose it like crazy, he must somehow eat it.  He's always got a piece of hair connecting two pieces of poop!!  TMI, I know....

I called and the vet said unless they see it they can't say.  We go in next week for shots and I have to bring in a poo sample to get tested.

I don't know about the hairball type puke, but the hair in poo Lucy gets. She eats it and sometimes requires assistance, yeah I know its gross. She gets really upset when it is just hanging out of her butt by a hair and I have to get tissue and pull it out. So gross. Good thing I love the little girl.
