I just got my pup Corona a few weeks ago and I'm starting to run into a slight problem. My parents already have 2 yorkies in the house whom she gets along with GREAT... however she seems to be following them to their food dish. At first she was eating her puppy food regularly but now that she's been interacting with our other dogs she sees there's another dish available. I'm not really sure where to go from here. We tried keeping her food seperate and even tried putting her food by theirs but she usually goes for theirs. And at that they tend to eat hers. Is adult food bad for a pup? She's only 2 months old. Would it be okay to feed the other dogs puppy food? Any advice would be great since I'm kinda new at all this.

Welcome! What exactly are they all eating? I ask because in some high quality foods there is no "puppy" formula so it would be ok to feed to all three of them...Canidae is one of those foods. If you don't choose to do that though then I would stick with the puppy food until she's 5 or 6 months old at least.

For years my mom has fed her dogs Eukanuba, so thats what I got for Corona. The Yorkies eat the small breed adult formula. And I bought Corona the small breed puppy formula. I'm not to familiar with foods and whats good and whats not, I dont even know what to look for and stay away from. I just know that Eukanuba is used by alot of my family so thats just what I happened to pick up. lol I'm not even sure if I have ever heard of that brand you mentioned.

I used to stand between them when Jeter first came home and told him no when he tried to wander. Didn't take long for him to catch on. I feed an all life stage formula so it wasn't so much about the type of food as it was "this is yours, that is not" !

You also might want to check out this forum for food topics. Eukaneuba is one of the lower quality foods. Lots of fillers and by products. There are a lot of topics on this that can help you in deciding. Also dogfoodproject.com and dogfoodanalysis.com are helpful sites.

Alot of the larger chains don't carry much of the higher quality stuff. Petsmart really has none, Petco carries Natural Balance. Pet Supplies Plus if you have one has a huge variety as do a lot of the smaller stores. Most of the foods sites have a store finder area that can tell you what places by you carry them.

I found the higher quality foods at feed stores in my area. You might try there...

Welcome to you and Corona....put up a pic!

We had vomiting issues when we Got Smokey. I followed advice here and put him on Natural Balance duck & potato dry. Pricey food but, considering he gets a little over a cup a day - not bad and there are always coupons with discounts.

Good luck to Ya.
