I went home at lunch to a few piles of vomit (some just flem) &  diarrhea from my sweet little Lloyd. He finds & eats all kinds of crazy stuff from the backyard--snow, grass, leaves, poopsicles, etc so Lord knows what he got into..what can I give him to make him feel better & stop being sick. I do know if he continues to eat crap..literally,  I'll have to leash him to go outside to potty.I know he doesn't feel good because he just wanted to sit on my lap & he was trembling--when he hurts he shakes.(my black sweater is not covered in white hair from holding him at lunch)

What should we try??I appreciate all answers...Thanks.

Poor lloyd!!! I don't have an answer for you, but just to check on him and make sure that it is not persistent ad that the vomit does nto have bile in it. I would just try and make him drink water and maybe call up your family vet to see what they say. Most likely he ate something bad and is just feeling the reprocussions, and he will be okay later tonight, but maybe the vet would have some words of wisdom just to be on the safe side.

Just give him lots and lots of love, I hope he fells better.

Thanks for the kind words. It's funny...you & I know to stop eating stuff if it makes us sick, but he is a DOG & you cannot explain that to him. Before I left , he got sick two more times, but it was just flem & grass/leaves.Hopefully he'll be ok tonight.

I'm sure its just nature's way of helping him out. As long as its not bile, he probably isn't to the really sick point. Also as for the nice habit of eating turds, one of my friend's dogs did that cnstantly and they got some sort of medicine that they sprayed on the poop and he never did it again.

Button used to eat everything that she found in the yard, too, as a puppy. For the first year of her life, she had an upset stomach from doing so about twice a week! She finally outgrew it by about 1.5 years of age. Still occasionally vomits up crap she eats in the yard though, and she's 4 now.

How is he now?
For vomiting some plain yogurt will help his tummy if it's something minor.
