| Yesterday the vet called and offered a liquid called chlorhexodine for Shiloh's wounds. We picked it up and I've been using it in a spray bottle on Shiloh's belly. It seeems to help it not sting, the vet said she swears by it, has a gallon bottle on the back of the sink in her kitchen for use at home for animals as well as humans. She said it's so good for burns that she uses it on herself. It is a cleanser as well as helps the skin to regenerate and keeps it from drying and cracking. You spray it on and dab it back off. Seems like really good stuff. She said she'd recommend it to anyone, not just pet owners. Must be good if she uses it on herself. Thought youall might want to know. Apparently alot of vets use it and likely will just give you a small jar to take home if you ask. I think it would be worth asking! |

| Poor Shiloh! I saw the pictures first, so I had to come here to find out what happened to the poor baby. Glad she's doing well! You are so right about them being quick. There have been times when the door will open and before I can react, Bama has snuck by and taken off. He is NOT very good with the come command AT ALL! He's a typical male with selective hearing. hahaha (DO NOT get offended guys--you know it's true. tee hee) |

| Boy I guess you do understand. Your little one has had a rough go of it too, sounds like. Thanks for the well wishes. I'm so happy to have found this place. trust me, she feels you all. I've been reading most of it aloud as nutty as that sounds, but hey she's here right against me through it all and shes ultra bored! She's such a high energy dog and it flat hurts to move... Talking helps... at least that's my excuse LOL and she's responded to the dogs barking in the video section. You guys are the greatest! It's so cool to just be able to yack away with you all. Wish Shiloh and I could come to some of the meetings! |

Thanks Diane, She seems to be on the mend. I'm sure it will take a while though. Kind of wondering how to keep this active mind going though without the usual running jumping spastic dog activity she's used to. Anyone have any ideas to share? She's bored! That's a good sign too though, smiles |

Sure hope Shiloh is on the mend...poor darling. Know what you mean about a big area. Ours is not fenced, but I have 184 acres to roam. We have woods and a 4 acre pond too. Poor Nate he reminds me of the movie "Meet the Parents". Hope he is doing ok also!

| LOL on the meet the parents idea. Ok, we are wierd but not THAT wierd! Shiloh seems pretty good this morning I'm exhausted though. Everytime she flinches or shifts position in her sleep I'm wide awake and looking to see what's wrong. Just like having a baby again. (Except that my boobs don't hurt! LOL) |

Poor Shiloh I just saw this today too. I hope she feels better soon. Both my boys where rescue doggies one from Katrina and one from a house with a lot of dogs. And I was thinking the same about your daughters friend Nate with the movie Meet the Parents anything that can go wrong went wrong hope things get better for him too.
Get well soon Shiloh |

| Does she have a Kong? Or you might get her a puzzle ball where she'd have to work to figure out how to get to the treat inside it. Both of those can be played with while laying still and quietly. |

Thanks guys. She doesn't have a kong, well she does actually, Grandma bought it for her and she buried it promptly, treat and all... So, somewhere on our 29 acres perhaps she'll come across it again one day... silly girl! Last night I put a milkbone down in the neck of one of her partially beheaded stuffed animals and rooting around in the stuffing with her nose seemed to be fun. Today I think the wounds itch and possibly randomly start to sting because she'll be laying there quietly and then suddenly bounce out of bed and look at it like, dang, that smarts! She kicked Daddy out of bed this morning. He was getting ready to get up to go to work anyway so he didn't mind but she's up on his pillow now and stretched cross wise across the bed. We really need to work on the sleeping arrangements but for now, anywhere that she lands that suits her is just fine with us. |

My boys sleep on my side of the bed. Litterly on my side... Spike sleeps near my face with his head most of the time on my sholder and Moose sleep by my hips with his head resting on either my hip or knee. Try to roll over that takes skills |
