The thing that worked best for em when CoCo was little was the small training treats that you can find at like pet smart or other pet stores. The reason why i suggest training treats over anything else is that they are usually small and easier to chew. That or a few people have recommended plain cheerios for a puppy that young. Hope this helps.  Btw way what is your puppy's name, and can we see pics and welcome to the site

EDIT: here is the link for the type of treats I used with CoCo.

I dont know about anyone's pup...but Trixi is sort of a glutton...if you make it exciting and teach her tricks...she will take ONE piece of tiny kibble each time...and she gets just as excited about that as she does about "treats"
I know, it may sound mean...but probably better for her than all those treats all the time..i dunno...i do it sometimes!!

Mary, I use Angel's dry kibble as training treats too. The only other thing I had found were these soft sticks by natural choice, and i had to cut them up into tiny pieces. I found it easier to use the bits of kibble. She get excited just to be working, and some evenings if she won't eat her dinner, we'll work on her obedience/training a little bit longer so she gets enough.

Molly is 9 weeks old and has been getting the Training Treats by Nature's Recipe from Petsmart for a week now and she loves them. They are really small and soft so it is easy for her to eat.

I have tried the cheerios as treats but she was getting very loose stools so I stopped that and the problem when away. These treats had no effect on her other than her love for them.
