when i got home from work tonight/ this morning....

I found Peyton sitting on the kitchen floor shaking...            he had tons of poop stuck to his butt..    and I mean a huge ball of poop...  I don't even know how to explain it....     it was a huge ball of poop...      I freaked...  after tons of paper towels,            I hugged him then took him to the bathroom to the tub...

I have never seen anything like this...    I have no clue what is wrong with the little guy...     and I have to crate him tonight...  I don't want him in bed with me like this...

I feel so bad for him...    don't have the money to take him to the vet yet...     omg... what a night of worry this is gonna be...

Oh, gosh, Jan--I hope he's not sick!  Maybe he ate something that gave him the runs.  Hope he's better today.

Was it matted into his fur? Is he drinking and eating normally? Maybe, like Paul said, he just ate something bad.

Poor Peyton, and poor you for finding him this way. Ya know, once in a great while Ernie doesn't get that poopoo completely out or there is some stuck there and he freaks out. He walks with his butt down and circles around like he's uncomfortable. I clean it off and he's fine. Is it possible that he couldn't get all of it out completely? Let us know how he's doing.

Nibbler once got so scared he sh*t himself, literally.
When he was a bitty puppy Adam dropped the leasha nd the handle freaked him out, he took off running and of course this big plastic thing was clattering right behind him, poor baby was so scare he messed himself, and lost a toenail. I cleaned him up and stopped the bleeding and he was better after that.
Maybe something scared Peyton?

Did he eat something bad? Was it runny poop? Maybe he needs a spoon of Pepto. How is he this morning?

Long-haired dogs have that problem sometimes, with not being able to get everything clear of the hair, that is.  Every now and then, my little pom has to have a "special trim" around her rear end because she has such thick hair there.  Hope Peyton is ok today.

He seems to be normal today...
I did put the crate in the bedroom last night and had him sleep in there.. he was not thrilled with it but dealt with it...
I have no clue what was going on..
I was more tore up than him I think....

He was fine when I got home from work this morning...
I think the little dude was embarassed...
That was the feeling I got, when I walked in the door... he just looked mortified...
He has such an aura and personality...\
There is just something about this little dude..
the look in his eyes, the feeling he projects...
