I'm so excited, I think I figured out the problem with the avatars.
When you browse your computer for a picture to upload and then select one...check the end of the file name (i.e ".jpg" )
If it is capitalized it will not work. So if it says ".JPG" nothing will happen. Just change it to lower-case ".jpg" and then it should work.
You still may have to refresh for it to pop up but this should fix the problem.
Also, our avatars have a limit of 200x200 but you don't have to shrink your picture that small. If it's a little bigger its no problem, it will still upload it and just autimatically size it down for you.
Let me know if this works or doesn't work! Or if it doesn't make sense...I'm horrible at explaining things. Sorry.

Morgan: Check in the admin panel for admissable photo types. You should be able to add extensions to the list of acceptable types. Since some servers are case-sensitive (apparently the one hosting this page is) you can just add the Uppercase versions of the acceptable extensions (i.e. jpg,JPG,gif,GIF....)
NOTE: you may need to set it seperately for avatars and uploadable photos. |

Ok...so I went in & followed all the above directions...the new avatar shows on my profile but the stupid alien avatar (which I REMOVED before putting the new pic in!) still shows on my posts....   
Clarification -- the alien shows on my profile, but when I click "edit profile" the new pic shows on that screen.... SIGGGGHHHHHHHH

I still can't change my avatar!!! I went to my profile hit where it said remove avatar then uploaded a different pic to use as my avatar updated my profile and the first avatar I was using instead of the new one I want to use now is still showing up!!! I don't want to remove that picture from my computer cause I want to keep that picture. Okay so is there any other reason that I can't change my avatar?
