OK I JUST WANT TO KNOW AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS A HARD HEADED RATTIE? SOMETIMES I JUST WANT TO RING HER NECK SHE IS SO HARD HEADED. COMMENTS ANYONE?

THX FOR YOUR COMMENTS GUYS. LIKE I SAID SHE IS HARD HEADED SHE WILL NOT STAY IN THE YARD SHE HAS TO GO OVER TO EVERYONE ELSE'S YARD AND THEN SHE LIKES TO GO OUT IN THE STREET AND I HAVE SCOLDED HER AND SCOLDED HER SHE WONT LISTEN!!!!!!

Unless she is taught the come command thouroghly and otherwise kept on a lead or fenced in yard, than this is to be expected of any breed. To keep her safe and prevent anything tragic from happening, she really should be on a leash at all times.

Sarah is absolutely correct. How much time have you spent training her recall? She is doing what dogs naturally do, and she has no clue that it is unacceptable behavior to you. It's your responsibility to teach her... same as it would be if you have a child. Spend time teaching her the "come" command... and until she has TOTAL recall, keep her on a long line or a leash when she's outside. It only takes one time for her to run out into the street and get run over. If that happens... you'll wish you had spent some training time with her!

thanks for your input i put her on a tie down this morning and she didnt like it she kept looking at me i told her that is what happens when you run off and dont stay in the yard .

I can't trust Sassy without a fenced yard or tie out... she could cruise the entire neighborhood...

Yep, I don't have a closed in yard yet, but I know when walking Shadow on his leash, he puts his head down and his nose to the ground and he can go anywhere. Those smells call to him everytime. So he can go for miles if I let him.

I agree with the others. Unless you know she will stay which you have learned she won't then i would keep her on a leash at all times. My neighbor and i both worked with Izzy for a bit on this and she was staying but then she would give me this look. As soon as i would say Izzy no or go to get her she would take off. I have just now keep her on a tie out now when she goes out to go potty. It is not worth her getting it by a car. I know that another member just lost her dog to a car hitting her little one. So please be careful.
