Cleo runs around like a wild woman at night time when I let her out for her night time potty, you would think that she has never been in the same yard ever and there is a million trillion new smells that she must investagate right this very second and she barks the whole time because she is SOOOO happy

Opel is doing this now she has flipped over the food dish so many times then she races by and grabs a kibble. Very much like sugar rush so funny.

Yep, Shadow does this when I come home from work and when I wake up in the mornings. It's like the first time he has ever seen me or something. Runs like crazy and sometime he slides cause he tries to turn or stop too fast. Funny, funny little guy. He makes me laugh all the time. I just love it.

Rita and Niko sometimes do it together!  Having two rushing around like that is hilarious, and absolutely nuts!

Ha ha ha.... this is called "Turboing" and I think they're all known to do it. Some more than others. I think of it as Daisy letting off steam - else she'd explode

Ah yes, Aka is very good at running the ratty 500, turboing or showing a sugar rush! He loves to do it and esp. when we go outside. His head bobs up and down and his mouth is open, teeth showing in a smile and his tongue hanging out!
And boy is he fast!!

Inside when he has one of the psycho puppy fits, he will charge up and down the hallway and make these haripin turns. Only once has he tried it in the kitchen where there is vinyl but he learned pretty quickly that he has NO traction there and he slides into the side of the fridge!!

It would be fun to have a bunch of video segments of all the ratties doing this and edit them together at fast speed with some sort of wound up music playing in the background!!

Mic goes psycho all the time... All we can do is bring him outside to play frisbee or let him tear apart the house as he runs through it! Our place is pretty small so of course he runs into everything (without slowing down) and knocks things off the walls, tables, etc... Every now and then you will see him run by with one of Kevin's socks! Then on the next lap it is gone, never to be seen again! And when he's upstairs, you would think he was an elephant!!

It's funny, sometimes he wants me to play really bad when I'm on the computer or busy and he will play bite at my toes and cry this high pitch little squeally noise And of course my feet are ticklish so he thinks its a game when I try to hide them!! He always gets this evil look in his eyes too.... The feet game is usually followed by the running psycho I explained in the first part of this post... I'm backwards today!!

Typical Rattie behavior! Dottie gets going and jumps from couch to couch and runs laps through the house and even dives under chairs and the entertainment center! We just stand out of the way and laugh!!!

Nibbler goes crazy all the time. Sometimes it's funny, but I always try to take him outside when he does this so he has more room to play

Toby does this as well. I call him my cocaine dog and my husband calls it the "Ratty 500" too.  Toby just digs at the couch and floor then will just take off and run run run run around and around and around....It is cute but I sometimes just wish he would settle down instead of getting rowled up again.

Button had what we called kiddingly the "bewitching hour" between 8pm & 9 pm when she was a pup. She would just run, run, run and demand we play, play, play! She has outgrown that now. Zipper, my new rescue, is "wearing her out" and Button konks out for good around 8:30 now! LOL
