I went to a local pet store(not Petco or Petsmart), just a small one by my house and was talking about Julia's constant barking...the lady said she  does obedience classes there~she said if the spray bottle doesn't seem to be working, which it isn't al all. Julia just trys to catch all the water in her mouth...to use Binaca (human breath spray) .Just a squirt in her mouth everytime I want her to stop doing a certain act, like barking or chewing on things...I was wondering if anyone else has heard of doing this?? I bought some(peppermint flavor) and have had to use it last night and this morning. She doesn't like it at all ~~and when I show her the bottle of it she puts her head down and walks away...Just wondering if it's safe to continue using because I think it just might work.

Be sure it is not sweetened with Xylitol, which is toxic to dogs. I know some gums use it, not sure about breath fresheners.
Maybe the manufacterer has a website where you can write to them and ask?

You might want top look into a citronella collar for the barking- that way she doesn't associate YOU with something yucky.
