I noticed that when I added a signature to my profile that my avatar was removed. I had to re-upload it to get it to back.

It appears that the forum software is updating portions of the profile by default, whether they were modified or not. Therefore when you change something on your profile, the avatar upload is blank by default, your avatar is blank upon profile update.

Morgan or Lance:

I have verified this to be true for all fields on the edit profile page. Modifying any field causes the avatar to be reset, but all other unmodified fields remain the same.
