I agree if you haven't gotten him to the vet yet do it ASAP. If he has a parasite or a disease he could easily pass it to your other animals.

very cute little man. I would go with Elliot, why?  I just thought of it.

OMG!  He is beautiful.  He looks all rattie to me.  I would have a hard time letting him go if I found him.

About how old are they when their ears start standing?  I'm laughing because one ear has been going up and down all day today.

How cute!! What a great discovery!

I agree with the other posters that pets usually find you for a reason. My Henry-cat came galloping up to me in Wal-Mart. To this day, I can't imagine how no one else noticed a little scrap of bright orange fuzz in the Lawn and Garden section!

Please keep us posted on what happens with this little critter!

Hi Blisschick - we call that ear wars (when they go up and down). It can go on for months before they resolve to final position.

Tell your hubby that he is not the only decision maker in the house and put it to a vote. The pup will need vetting, for his own good. Are you trying to find his original owners?

It seems the left ear has decided to stay up, but the right one is still down.  He looks really cute like that, but I'd like to see the other stand eventually.  I actually kind of preferred the button ears, but upright is fine, too.

I put up found posters in our neighborhood, but no one has come forward.  He's made himself home here, in spite of what my husband thinks.  He sleeps between us at night, and has warmed up to my husband, so things are going well.  As for a vote, well...I have to be subtle about how I go about that.  DH is not the type I can just tell him that I'm going to do it.  I use a place in Houston for discount shots and getting my animals fixed, so he'll most likely end up going there.

What a cute pup... but he prolly needs deworming and such, so need to get him to the vet.

He does look like he is RT or at least has a lot of RT in him.
