Hello...I'm Scooter's mom Carrie and I need help *L*

I've tried to get the avatar done, thought I had it and it's not there anymore...also I see some graphs (?) where it shows a timeline....how did you do that?  I know I'll probably need more help soon *L* so thanks ahead for any input you may have!!!

Welcome! For avatars you have to make sure the file ends in .jpg, lowercase. Can't wait to see pics, tell us about your rattie!

Hi Carrie and welcome.  When you save the pic for your avatar make sure the file extension is in lower case....not JPG but .jpg. We have had some problems lately with avatars and pictures but, I think that has been straightened out.

Carrie, welcome to the site!!!!

Have you read the New Member Information thread? There is a link to it over on the left hand side, near the top, above the message boxes. There's a lot of helpful information there.

The timelines I believe you are referring to are called "tickers" and are generated at separate and unrelated sites. I believe if you click on one, it will take you to the site where you can create your own. Then you would have to copy/paste the code into your signature area under your profile here.

I'm thinking it's my puter maybe....I had the avatar once and now when I try to put it back on it takes forever it seems and then if i remember correctly i got a timeout error...something of that sort....so I think my puter is just running slooooooooow today....will keep trying!!!!

I have problems getting a new avatar up too...but after a few tries, it gets up there eventually. I just keep pressing the button. Sorry I can't be of anymore help, I'm not really all too computer savy. Good luck!
