I know this sounds stupid, but-can I update my sig and profile without loosing my avatar?

The last time that I tried this, I lost my avatar and it took about twenty tries to get it back up. I would update my info but don't want to hassle with strggling to get my avatar back up. (I'm not the most patient human in the world)

That's what I thought. That's why there isn't anything on my bio. The last time I tried, I had to reload the avatar and it took a ton of time to get it back. Doesn't make sense, but I'm only average with computers. Oh well, I guess I'll just stay blank.
