I found a rattie here in Asheville that sounds like she would be nice but the lady says she pees just a little when she gets excited is this something she will grow out of shes 8 months old or can be trained not to do?

Beats me. I've got a 4 year old shepherd mix that pees when she gets excited or when you punish her. We just make sure we always wait until we're outside to greet her or in the kitchen... It has decreased over the 2 years we've owned her. Perhaps someone else will have some advice for you. For us, we've just gotten used to it and it really doesn't happen all the time anymore.
