Hello!  I'm new here, but not to Rat Terriers.  I've had ratties for 12 years, and am active with Rat Terrier ResQ.

I'm looking forward to meeing lots of new friends here.

I'm a new member here too !!  Everyone has been great.  The best part is that we all love to talk about our babies.  There are so many adorable Ratties.

Hi!  I'm new(ish) here..  I've been peeking in as a guest occasionally over the last year or so, and finally have some time between school and work and the pups and the boyfriend to sit down and say "hi!"  So.... "Hi!"

My name is Amy, and I have a year and ten month old rattie, Taylor.  He's my spoiled little baby.

Well..  about six months ago, I decided that Taylor and I needed another buddy.. someone for him to play with while I'm at work, and someone for all of us to snuggle with when I get home. 

About a month ago, I saw an ad on petfinder from a shelter about 2 hours away that had (what they said was) another rattie..  a little girl, about 3-4 months old, they'd guessed, who'd been a stray. 

I emailed them that night, asking if I could put in an application and told them Taylor and my boyfriend and I could be there to meet her that Saturday.  So we went down on Saturday to see her, and she instantly got along with Taylor and was the sweetest little girl ever..  absolutely hilarious and rambunctious like ratties are, but there was just one thing - I don't necessarily know that she's a rattie.!

You see..  she has a beard!  And long little wire-ish hairs on her face that are super cute, but not exactly rattie-esque.  So I figured that now that I've got a little time to chat with all of you, maybe you could offer up some guesses on her identity!  She's my second little baby, and she and Taylor are great buddies - and both spoiled!  Her name is Abby.

Anyway, sorry for the mile-long intro, but hi!  And I look forward to getting to know some of you soon!

Welcome to RT.com, Amy.  Can't wait to see pics of Taylor and your new pup, too.  We're retired teachers and have the two females in my avatar.  Button is 4 now and little Zipper, the tricolor, just turned 2 in April.   We just adore them!  Always had dachshunds before these two girls, but we have now found "our" breed. 

Hi! I've posted a couple of times but I don't think I've introduced myself. Macie is my rattie-girl. Our family had pet fancy rats when Macie came into our lives. The rats had to go. ha!

We live in San Antonio. The "You Might be a Rat Terrier if..........." is my absolute favorite. It's so funny!!

Hi I am Tipsy's mama I got her 3 months ago, she's going to be 2 in January.  Poor puppy, we lived in Florida and just made a move to Pennsylvania BRRRR  for both of us!!  But she has adjusted well.  I became a member of this site so I could learn more about rat terriers as this is my first time owning one and so far...I'm in love!  Tipsy was very well trained by her previous owner and she is a very GOOD girl, I got lucky...no chewing, misbehaving, etc.   and her and my cat hit it off from day one!

Hello I am a new member and I have a question.  My friend told me about this site Sat. night.  She has been a member since 2007 and I was wondering if theres a way to look at her profile?  Ive read alot of her postings and I would love to read her profile I just cant figure out how to do it and Im not sure if your even able to.  If someone could tell me I would be so thankful.

Welcome to our site.     If you click on your friends name in one of her posts that will take you to her profile and also if you click on "members" on the top right of the page you can find her that way also.   When you see the alphabet on top of that page just click on the letter that starts her username.
