Not because I don't want to adopt a rattie, but because I want to make sure that I'm doing the right thing. Most breed websites, especially rescue sites, will have a page titled, "So you think a insert breed here is the right dog for you?" and it usually outlines all the challenges you might face with the particular breed. I can't find an article like that on the rat terrier. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and can you direct me to the information? I've read what I can about temperament and all that... but I just want to learn more so I know everything I need to know.

Shoot, just read all the different discussions here! Every one of us have told of characteristics and behaviors, even possible genetic traits but be warned, we're all partial to yhis breed. we would likely help talk you INTO getting one! Smiles I know I have no regrets. They have such wonderful personalities and they are ultra smart!
