Hi everyone,

I have come to this site for help and guidence, i have two rat terriers that i need to find homes for, they were my brothers dogs, and he passed away last month, i have a notice under rescue, i just i would introduce myself to the crowd.

I have a toy rat, named gidget, and a lab/shepard mix, they are lovely dogs, but all four together is to much for us to handle.

Maybe someone out there can help.

THanks

Diane

Welcome to the site Diane. I hope you find homes for the babies. Unfortunately I'm in Florida and not much help to you. I hope that you will remain on the site even after you find homes for the ratties. You will really like it here. Maybe Ratbone Rescues can help or have some ideas to help you.

Welcome, Diane...

Many rescues have happened here lately, stick around and hopefully someone can help. I am glad you are trying to find a good home for them rather than the alternative. I am so sorry for your loss. Please stick around...this can be a wonderful support group.

Hi there,

There is a thread in this forum where someone is looking for a female rattie in MA. You are not too far. They are willing to drive up to 5 hours.

Welcome to the site, Diane.  Let me express my condolences on the loss of your brother.  I'm sure the last month has been a nightmare and very exhausting.  So nice of you to foster his dogs until you can find them a home.  Hang in there on both fronts.  I lost my father not too long ago and the emptiness hasn't gone away, but the heartache does get better with time.  And there are so many folks wanting to adopt, I'm sure you'll find homes for your brother's babies.  Run an ad locally in your newspaper and check out our rescue forum.  You might also check out ratlover.com's Rescue forum (free to join & post)  and it's free to post over on on Annie Blair's bulletin board at  members3.boardhost.com/RATTERRIERS/
