3 years ago my boyfriend moved into my zoo, At that time I had 5 dogs, 5 cats, 2 horses, 2 birds, a hamster, a ferret, and an Iguana. All but 2 of the dogs and 2 of the cats were some sorta rescue.
Over time the zoo has thinned out due to mostly natural causes. Last year my lap dog passed away. I waited awhile and started asking the BF if we could get another one. He of course being the "smart" one of the pair said not now. I whined for a couple months and let him have his way. He was (can't believe I'm gonna say this) right. It was best for us to wiat till the herd thinned out a little more.
Well about a week after I let loose the idea of a new baby to cuddle I had a dream about a white dog running on the beach with me and the BF, in the dream the dogs name was Noodles. Friday nite while we were talking I told BF about my dream. He went white and just shook his head. Finelly he told me he had had a dream of us fishing with a little white dog named Noodles. Oh course I jumped on this as a sign and he shot me down.
Saturday we went WalMart bound. We got what we needed and were pulling out of the parking lot when a truck pulled up with PUPPIES!!!! Of course he has learned I have to look. So we got out and I watched as these adorable tiny babies were unloaded. They played and barked and were happy to come to the cage side and lick my fingers.
I had in the past looked at alot of dog breeds to decide which one I would want to get when the time came. I am sorry to say Rat Terriers were not a breed I had even looked into.
Anyways here are these tiny puppies all playing with me when one goes to the side of the cage BF is standing at, reaches through the cage and grabs his pants. She looks up at him then at me. I din't even get a chance to say anything he just grabbed my arm and put me in the truck and got the H... out of there. Not rough like just move out now.
We got to the auto store, the next stop on our outing, and he gets a few things and we are waiting in line and he keeps looking at me and saying NO. I keep telling him I didn't say anything. He then puts his stuff down and says LETS GO! I (in that female innocent voice) ask where, and he says;
TO GO GET NOODLES.
That was a little over 4 months ago. Noodles couldn't have been more perfact for us if we had ordered her part for part. She loves to travel, go in the boat, she has never met anybody or anthing she didn't like. She is easy to teach and her favorite thing in the whole world is to make you smile.
I can't imagine a life without this little, perfact, pile of energy. I know I/we were destin to have this sweet little rattie if for no other reason to know the joy of this breed. And I can tell from reading all the comment and concerns here on this site you'll feel the same way.
Lots of smiles, lots of laughs, & lots of Rattie Love!!!!
