Since we got another dog, we decided that we needed a new vacuum. The other one wasn't sucking well, so we started looking into the vacuum for pet hair. We bought it this morning, and I just can't quit vacuuming! It is awesome, and for $149.00 you almost can't beat it. I can't believe how much pet hair I had on my carpet...and I just vacuumed with my old vacuum cleaner (a Hoover Wind Tunnel that I spent over $300.00 for). I recommend this vac to anyone with pets! Just thought I would share. |

Is there a particular model number or anything? I have the lower end Bissel carpet cleaning machine and use it for cleaning pet accidents. It is fine for its size and what I use it for. Bissel seems to have good products. Lady Les, if you get tired of vacuuming there, just PM me and I'll send you address, directions etc to my house!! LOL |

When we had Penny, Moochs best friend, she was a mix and had much more hair then him. Thicke and double coated. And shedding was a minor issue. We kept it all under control with regular bathing and brushing, with a shed comb, but this year my husband came home with a Dyson vacuum called the "Absolute animal". Very funny, and a little pricey, but boy does that thing find the hair and take care of it. And of course, never looses suction! I thought he was kidding when he told me what it was called. |

| We have an Electrolux. But my favorite thing is my Bissel Spot Bot. It's great for Emma's little accidents. When her daddy comes home from work she gets so excited, she jumps up and down and pees! She has even peed on her daddy's pants and shoes! Hahahaha! |

| I was curious about the Bissel Pet Hair Eraser! Want a Dyson, but I don't want to spend that much on a vacuum if I can find something good for less. |

| I'm wondering how it does on microsuede fabric? We bought furniture with that fabric since the weave is so very tight and little paws can't tear it. But dog hair REALLY sticks to it, and even my husband's shop vac can't get all of the hair off! |

We bought the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser this week and I highly recommend it! I'd vacuumed on a Friday with my old Hoover. Bought the Bissell and used it Monday. You wouldn't believe the junk that came up! It's embarrassing! I had just vacuumed with the old one and by the looks of the new one...holy mackerel! I couldn't believe the amount of dog hair left behind, and the dirt/dust picked up was just yuck. I fancy myself a clean person, so this really disgusted me. I am so excited! For $150, this is a great deal! |

Please dont take this the wrong way! Just a funny thought that came into mind, not directed toward you.
This reminded me of one of those commercials where everyone is sitting there reading the teleprompter about how they switched whatever item and now theyre "so happy!" (You know which ones Im talking about, the ones that look like there wasnt a lot of effort or money put into it lol.) |

I have a Dyson "All Floors" vac. Yes, it's the most I've EVER spent on a vacuum, but I've been buying the less expensive vacuums and end up replacing them about every year or so. The Dyson is holding up well and I am extremely satisfied with it. You just can't sweep up all the dog hair off the vinyl. The Dyson sucks it right up and it doesn't "float" up everywhere like when you sweep. I'm glad that the Bissel Pet Hair Eraser is working well for those who have bought it. |

Got a Kenmore (Sear's brand) Dirt Sensor beltless w/ true Hepa Filter bag. Cost about $250. on sale from $350.00. I do love the dirt sensor lights. Picks up very well, but even using the mighty mite special furniture cleaning attachment w/ beater brush, I still can't get all the fur off the velour type furniture fabric. I had tried various techniques on fur removal. The best one turned out to be elastic dishwashing gloves!!! Really gets that fur ,and even on the woven fabric of the swivel desk chair in which the fur really digs into it . So, I use vacuum & glove for cleanest fur free seating.

Ashley, thanks so much for this info as my vacuum is on it's last legs (probably due to the enormous amount of pet hair LOL) and I now have to invest in a new one!
