Crickett shivers a lot when napping and now that is it cooling down here, I am wondering if she needs a sweater for trips outside as well? And if so, how do you keep them on your babies? I tried one on her and had to take it back as she wouldn't move with it on, just stood there...wondering what the heck I was doing to her! I see lots of pics here on this site, with all kinds of clothes on your Ratties (and they are adorable), but wondering how you manage it?????????????? |

| I think it really depends on the dog. I thought for sure that Izzy would hate to wear something since she chews on her dog tags all the time. I got her a little halloween shirt. I put it on her and then distracted her with some toys so she wouldn't pay much attention to it. She ran a little funny first but then forgot about it. |

| Button absolutely will not wear anything. But I never saw her shiver for nearly three years! LOL I don't recall Zipper shivering last winter (1st winter we had her) either. Haven't really put anything on her yet. Will see how they take to their pumpkin costumes when they arrive. Some dogs seem to like clothes, some don't. |

Macie didn't like wearing clothes at first and she would just stand still and not move (not even for treats) but once we would take her outside she was back to her normal self!! She still tries to hide when i put clothes on her and she won't move for about 5 minutes but then she quits being a baby and acts normal again |

Lucy absolutely LOVES clothes! She has a bigger wardrobe than I do (I am NOT kidding) but I put a little red T-shirt on Bo the other day, and it took him about 5 seconds to remove it. I put it back on him again, and he ran down the hallway and came back nekkid. Guess he doesn't like T-shirts. |

| I know it sounds crazy but Apollo HATES clothes. All except his gray hoodie sweatshirt. He would live in that thing if I would let him. I don't know why! Emma likes to be nekkid ALL the time. She even hates to have her collar put on her. My doggies just tolorate me I guess. Maybe they figure... Guess not Paul
Max doesn't like sweaters but will wear one when it's colder - usually 40 and below - like this morning. We tried boots one year because his feet get cold with snow , salt , etc but he wouldn't wear them. Picked his feet up - like it was torture so not more boots!

Paul, maybe red just isn't Bo's color!

Daisy tolerates them fairly well. Doesn't seem to pay much attention to them at all. Not sure why or how, though, so I don't really have any tips Sorry. |

Love your answer...and I think U/R right, they just tolerate us! But poor little Crickett shivers frequently when she is napping...when she lets me I will throw a hand towel over her. Now my son's Rattie loves to burrow under blankets, bedding, whatever and he'll wear clothes......not Crickett!

Thanks! Maybe it's a girl thing. My two sleep with hubby and me and Apollo HAS to be under the blankets to go to sleep but Emma HAS to be on top. I try to cover her but she just gets up and moves. Silly girl. |

Jack loves his shirts & sweaters and would wear them all the time if I let him - I think part of it is that he hates to be cold and will complain when a cool breeze is blowing.
