My puppy is a chewer for sure!   I was holding him and his rawhide chew when he got my pinky finger in his mouth instead of the chew.  He bit me so hard I have two deep puncher wounds on my finger!   OUCH!   Should I worry about anything reguarding him not having all his shots?

I wouldn't worry. You should be fine, I would wash it and just keep an eye on it for any redness or inflammation (signs of infection). They are quick little buggers aren't they!

Did he break the skin? He looks too little to have had his rabies vaccination already. It was a mistake, he didn't mean to do it. If the dog was viciously trying to bite you and broke the skin I would be worried. But I have bitten so many times by puppies they don't mean to do it.

He didn't mean to do it.  He was chewing on a rawhide stick and my finger got in there as I was holding the stick .  I was holding him and his stick as I was walking to get the phone.  It happened so fast but it hurt like heck.  I have to puncture wounds and it did break the skin.  It bled for a bit too.  I was just worried about him not having this shots completed?

I wouldn't think you have anything serious to worry about. Sounds like an accident. Did he come from a breeder --- I'm not 100% certain, but I thought I read that Mom's immunity to disease carried over to puppies for a while??? Plus, I'm almost certain that he isn't likely to have been exposed to rabies.

He did come from a breeder.  She started his shots before we got him.  I'm sure it's fine, I am probably over reacting.

It hurts though!

I'm sure it hurts...those puppy teeth are like needles!!!! And finger injuries tend to hurt a lot. Like Sarah said, I would just clean it well and keep an eye on it.

I wont worry about it unless you really feel the need to report it to your vet. I highly doubt your dog is rabid. If you really want to call your vet and ask what the procedures of a puppy biting and drawing blood is. But I think a lot of ppl get bit by their own dogs and never report it. Your puppy isnt old enough to have had his rabies vaccination yet. He will get it at 4 months old. It was just an accident, I wont worry about it.

I never thought about calling the Vet for my finger injury.   I would call my doctor if anything.

OOOH, Their teeth are like little razor blades aren't they! I wouldn't worry about it, Just keep an eye on it, and try a new chew toy for the little piranha.

Their teeth are really sharp when they are that age. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
