Thanks you guys, sounds dumb to say that if you have been through it makes me feel somewhat better. Especially that they got over it or out grew it. Hopefully he will find his way back one day. He tried to appoligize for his actions and his beings as he put it on is way out but forgot what he was saying and left with a See ya. During out talk he was still stoned but for the first time in years I actually believed what he was saying. I think because he was still stoned from the night before is the only reason he told all. Because he has always told us that he would never admit to anything unless he was caught. I truely believe that when he walked out that door, he really knew he had blew his last chance this time. It was no longer us telling him what all his has done wrong but yet he saying he was sorry for putting us through that and turning out the way he was. He did follow it up with "I thought I was doing better this time". So he is still lost in what he is doing, he needs more time to figure things out and find himself. Only he will know when it is "ok" to come home at this point. I almost want to say that this time he is on the road to rock bottom. I don't know how long it will take but I feel it in my gutt that it is going to be the next major thing that happens to him. He has a "few" court dates for July and is looking at the possibility of going back to jail. So his near future does not look to great.
And don't worry about us, we are so ready for this vacation it is driving us crazy right now. We want to leave now!! LOL
My daughter is aware of everything and is ok staying here. She is fully prepared to call the cops if need be. We also have LOTS of family members, friends and co-workers of my daughter that will be checking up on her. Some will call and some will be coming by the house and some will be coming for visits through out the week. So it is not like she will be totally alone, so many people care and will be here for her whether she needs them or not. And I will be calling during the week to check up on her.
I took her shopping to day to buy her groceries, she plans to cook because she wants some real food.
Maybe I will tell her to sign in here and say hi so you guys and check up on her too. LOL |
