Thanks everyone for your kindness and caring. I am so excited about getting to Austin to actually meet Sara and Aka. Mom has already started giving directions on all the things I have to do to get ready for him!! LOL. I love that head tilt that ratties do. Beeji did/does it and I declare he can furrow his forhead when he is thinking!
It will so fun to see Aka and to get home and see what he thinks of everything. Of course I have had to do a bit of shoppping, may even rival Jolene's spree 
Just kidding. But it was fun getting a puppy kong and some other little things. Don't know if can stand waiting much longer. One week, one week, whew

First, A sincere apology from me goes out to you for even questioning your reasoning. I will admit it makes me feel alot better knowing the whole thing but I do apologize for starting such a ruckus. I'm sorry to hear about your mom but yet happy that it has come down to the fact that you can take on a new member of our rattie family. I hope AKA brings you and especially your mother lots of happiness and we better see many pictures!!!! I'll be sure to let Beeji and Gracie know that they have a new sibling hehe And maybe if we get this FL meet going, you and AKA can come join all of us. Thank you again for sharing with all of us, it means more to me than you know. And I hope you can and will outshop Jolene hehe, we all know AKA will love every bit of it  |

Cheryl- So happy for your decision to adopt Aka, sounds like you're heart needed a little something after all you and your mother have been through. I think Aka will fill that spot beautifully. Thanks for sharing your story, we all knew it wasn't needed but it's still nice to hear.
My mother also deals with copd and at times it can be very difficult. Bless you and your mother and the new little furbaby that will fill your life with joy that is well deserved... |
