I JUST got off the phone with the vet.  Emma is done with her surgery and is sleeping.  They said she did good.  She'll be sent home with meds ( of course ) and they said because she was so small she shouldn't be trying to jump up on the couch.  You know how determined these ratties are when they want something so she may be determined to stretch herself to jump.  She'll be ready to come home around 4.  But her daddy won't be there to get her till 4:30.  I'd go get her myself but he has Apollo's bigger crate.  I feel a little better now but won't feel completely better till I hold my little princess in my arms and kiss and hug her.  Hey!  Remind me not to squeeze to too hard!

YAY!   You and Apollo will both be happy when Princess EMMA comes home.   Don't squeeze too hard!

Yeah!  I bet Apollo will sniff her over when she gets home!

Oh, and if you squeeze her too hard she will yelp.  I know this because I DID squeeze Mayfly too hard after her spay....

Yeah, even though I miss her like crazy, I guess the second time around is a lot easier.  I know more of what to expect and everything.   Although my tummy has been in knots all day.  It helped being on here and doing some housework at the same time today.  And I cuddled with Apollo too since he didn't want to play. 

Glad Emma seems to have done OK today.  I actually had to crate Button when I picked her up from her spay.    She just wanted to bounce off the walls and jump on/off furniture like she hadn't had any surgery at all!   I walked her every couple of hours that evening and let her have free run of the house the next day

Zipper, on the other hand,  was a lot more sore and actually wanted to be crated  & left alone for two whole days after her spay.  She was growly & "cranky" with Button & us.  Vet techs said she yelped so when she came out of the anesthesia they had to give her morphine to keep her calmed down. But I think that's pretty unusual.

  She'll tell Apollo her ordeal and he'll say "See I told you needle man was bad."

Yeah, actually I hope Emma will want to be crated.  That way too Apollo won't want to play with her and get her all excited.

Awww - poor little Emma.  I'm sure Apollo will tell her how to "milk" it for a few days - got to get something out of seeing the big, mean needle man, right???
