| I have been here at the office since 8:00, usually the time that Blake and I are at the office is the worst time of the day for him. He is "bored" (even though there is a playroom and playground). He usually is constantly whining, crying, mommying...you get the pic...anyway, this morning I pulled his little desk up beside mine and he has SAT there for almost TWO hours just coloring in his coloring book! he has NEVER done that!!! I guess the meds are starting to kick in! I guess God knew I was hitting my breaking point yesterday and decided to cut me a break! We have been laughing and talking this morning..he has been a true joy to me today! (of course he does this on Friday when there is NO ONE else in the office to see it!!:wow: ) |

Makes life alot easier - huh Brandy.
My sister just started her 6yo daughter on meds - the school "requested" they get her tested and she has ADHD. She is like a brand new, calm, much easier to get along with kid! |

| Nora- Gotcha covered on the food rewards!! He's getting candy when he gets home! I am also taking him to the park for a few minutes on the way home..but he dressed himself this morning and put on shorts and it is 64* and windy outside. (plus he somehow has toothpaste all over the front of his shirt, the back of his shorts, and his arm...none of which I noticed until I got to work!!) The best thing is he is STILL sitting here coloring...going on FOUR hours!! He has had one case of the "I wanna goooooooo's", but he's four and that's normal! He has been quiet the last hour and is really concentrating in his pictures!! He's in a "red" mood today...put on a red shirt and has colored with his red crayon until there is only about a third of it left! :) |

| Sounds like you two are having a good day. I hope that there are more to come. Congrats on getting the medication right. Sometimes it is difficult to get the right type and amount right. I've heard that toothpaste is the new hot accessory. So he's stylin. |

That is great news for you. I am sure it was a hard decision for you but you can tell it was the right one. As the proof of today with him.
My sister-in-law son who started about time same time as your son on his medication got A's and B's in school last week. I can't wait to hear how well he did this week. |

Sugar doesn't really affect him. We even took him off of sugar completely for about two months to see if it helped, there was no change. Now my oldest son...I can tell if he's had one piece of chocolate or candy at school...he bounces off the walls for about an hour and then he crashes! :blink: |
