and I don't know if its all the packing, or what... Earlier in the week I was acting Team Leader for the day,, I forgot what it was like being in charge.. much stress... I was a manager of Taco Bell for 5 years before going into factory work and have been just an employee for 5 years.. I am ready to 'be a part of the grand scheme of things' Supervisiors are working with me on this... I am excited and weary all at the same time.. This is the last weekend in my apt, been here 3 years, it has served me well, but I am in for a major change in my life, I can feel it... For the last couple days I have been doing a lot of soul searching and thinking.. I was raised in a strong Christian faith, and tithe was something my parents did each week.. I have been thinking of this, but in another way.. since I don't go to a church on a regular basis, but am wanting to tithe, I have been asking the 'powers that be' if a different spin on it would be okay.. My thoughts on tithe is to give my 10% to Ratbone Rescue... Today I got my answer,... I got a postcard from Cora of Ratbone Rescue... I was not expecting anything from this organization. it came out of the blue.. Sassy wants to go to bed now... Blessings......Jan

Wow Jan! That is awesome!! How did you happen to get a postcard from Cora at Ratbone?? I am not currently with a "regular" church anymore (long story... based on hubby and I having different beliefs) but tithing is something I'm not willing to give up. Mine is now mostly done through rescue, and running the blind dog support web site & adoption listings.

That's an awsome idea guys! Jan, are you going to be a supervisor again? If I end up with a new position at work I'll be supervising 2 people...not too thrilled with the idea.

Jan, that is such a great story. The Lord does work in mysterious ways. (I know you got the postcard because of your donation -- I got one today too! But, the timing is the key.) I do believe tithing can be to more than just "the church" but to charities in general -- in fact, our church tells us that. Isn't it amazing how things "just happen" - haha. There are miracles out there every single day-- we just have to look to see them. Love ya, girl!

We try and tithe in many diffrent ways if were not able to make it to church.....I feel that anytime I can give that is tithing....wrether it be looan money to someone who needs gas or help someone with a bill orwhatever the case may be. I feel that you got that card on that day for a reason Jan and I think your idea is wonderful.

Thanks Ladies... I needed those responses... MB I don't know for sure yet.. The plant is currently being expanded 2700 sq ft... and they will surely need more Team Leaders and Supervisiors... That part of the plant will be open next year... They want our current team leader to be a supervisior and that would make me team leader... Funny thing is that the current team leader and I both worked for Taco Bell in management at the same time in different stores... so we know one another from there... so he knows of my experience... Yup Jan and Angie, it was the 'timing' of the postcard .....
